#2 Fly Line

I've temporally used #3 fly line for #2 fly rod. But I found it out that the best leader and tippet length is different for each rod and it is a kind of troublesome to change it every time. So I got #2 through yahoo auction with very cheap price.

And set it on almost unused my old fly real which I bought it first time at SWEN with curryman very long time ago. When can I use it, Lance?

It's been a year since I wanted to get it. And eventually!! A kind of mixed feeling exciting and a little nervous. Wondering if I can handle it well.

Leader Knot without any tube

Frankly speaking, I couldn't make a good knot between the fly line and the leader even using a tube before. So I tried this way (without tube) first time, and it wasn't bad I think. Thank you Tommy for sharing it. Good bye a piece of straw in my fishing vest!

 Now I'm adjusting the length of the leader and tippet for my next step. Just for being a better fly fisherman, Lance!

New Wading Shoes

Since I needed just normal felt sole. No fear of slipping, Lance!

My wading shoes got slippery again...

Last weekend,on the way to the dinosaur museum, dropped into this pro shop in Shizuoka city. Fly fishing gear was very minor and covered with dust in the shop... But I could get some which I needed.

And got many FF DVDs for free.

By the way, ministop's this rice ball was good. 160JPY, a kind of premium series though, worth to try. I liked it!
