Business Trip to OSAKA

Tomato noodle reminded me of old memory

which I visited OSAKA last time (over 10 years ago?).

Walking around the street.

Got a bite for the caddis emerger though...

Today I didn't have much time though, could come to the river before 10AM.

Around 10:30, there were sporadically several  splash rises.

And I could set a hook by the caddis emerger, but couldn't catch it...

Difficulty always makes fly fisher captivated.

Around noon, there were several OKUMA's dun.

But the number was smaller than last week.

I got several attacks for my OKUMA pattern though,

they couldn't  take it. There must be some reason.

Simple supper

It was pleasant to cook while drinking beer for me.

The main ingredient was a turnip.

Wasn't bad, I think.

Marine Science Museum

We visited the Marine Science Museum at MIHO on Saturday.

I think I visited it long time ago in the elementary school days?

Could see the reaction of fish for the wave.

It must be a good target fish of fishing.

Found the NEMO sisters?

Younger daughter likely got scared and tired at the museum...

There was a specimen of the aquatic insect.

It might be the first time to see it for me.

Toward the lake

Very unique world, and a little difficult for me.

Nice hatch of 'OKUMA'

This is my third visit for the KANOGAWA mainstream area this season.

Late start, arrived there around 10:45.

11:30 still could see many GAGANBO(crane fly),

some KOKAGE(baetis), caddis and stonefly.

Past 12:00, there were nice OKUMA's hatches here and there.

I've been waiting for rises at the riffle though, couldn't see any.

So moved downstream and checked the pool carefully.

Then I found a few good rises!!

#14 brown fly worked well! 

Proof of the mainstream area fish.

14:12 finished fishing and went back home for some chores to do.

It was so nice sunny fishing trip for me today.

My first try for cooking fruit cake using the dutch oven.

Wasn't bad and they said they liked it.

Very quick supper.
