Lance's long summer vacation DAY 1; 17 km bike and 5 km walk

7:26 Making preparation.
There were three cars already. And saw two men with motor cycles were going to pass the gate just I parked my car. Later I found that they were fly fishermen.

9:18 On the way to the destination above the second bridge.
Water level showed '0.25m' on the web though, there looked like no place to fish downstream because of too much water. So kept climbing toward the upper section.

9:54 Had to park here because there was unbelievable huge collapse in front of the second bridge. So let's walk till finding two earlier fishermen.

10:35 After checked their fishing place, decided the entry point.

11:05 First fish.

So hot!!

11:12 the 2nd one.

11:26 Good one as the 3rd.

11:48 4th, good pace.

Found the big one in the pool. He bit my fly once and I tried to set a hook. But he wasn't hooked. And continued to rise something small. Tried many fly patterns, and finally could set a hook by the small black bodied spinner type(imitating TRICO in US, I bought it in Boise over 10 years ago)! Then I lost his tension soon because of line break...

12:53 5th.

13:02 6th, still keep good pace.

13:14 7th.

13:23 8th.

13:29 9th, and 13:37 10th.

13:46 11th.

13:55 12th.

14:12 Good one as 13th was

32cm superb fish.

5x tippet and size 12 big ant parachute.

15:09 stopped fishing after adding 6 more cookie cutter sized one. Total 19 fish in 4.5 hours.

On the way to my bike, found the deer horn first time ever!! Kept it as a good luck charm.

At local Chinese restaurant.

First stay night in the current my car.

Biking and flyfishing is definitely necessary for my life.

Changed to Plan B

Around 5AM, we curryman and I were the parking space to take a bus to the river. But had to give it up because of high water due to typhoon yesterday. Our conclusion was to go to OSHINO as plan B.

Around 7:30, got started fishing.

Joyful first one was superb brown trout by sight nymping.

Got superb sunny day today.

2nd one by the same white marabou.

Had a lunch around my car as a kind of shade.

3rd one by dry fly.

Added one more there as 4th.

Moved to the downstream and 5th by FUTASUJI crippled dun.

What a gorgeous fish it is!

A kind of gold.

Sudden rain made it easy to catch the YAMAME as 7th one by dry fly imitating KUSIGEMADARA.

Small as 8th.

9th was memorial SYAKU YAMAME in the light rain.

Curryman checking my new glass rod.
Added one more bow as 10th by HIGENAGA.

Good restart of Lance's summer fishing!

BW with her after YOKOHAMA trip

Since we could be back from YOKOHAMA around 4 PM,
visited there before returning home.

Could see many KERI there.

First time to see ever, OYOSHIKIRI.

A pair of KIJI.

Close up of female KIJI.

Accidentally we met AMASAGI in the flock.

Found that AMASAGI is the smallest among them.

MAGAMO in the last.
