One Sunday of autumn

Woke up 5:30, left home 6:40 with my wife.

Dropped her off for her olympic volunteering at 7:30.

Then headed for the river which would be opened by the end of October.

8:40, could see the first baby.

9:32, 2nd was also tiny one.

Soon got the same sized 3rd one.

9:46 not bad one as the 4th.

And could confirm another possibility there.

The red wine season has come.

Just one day before closing

After annual medical check,

looked like good condition there seeing several mayflies.

Missed only one chance there because of a line break when I set a hook...

Let’s move to another stream.

Got the first and last one in the evening at a huge pool.

Said thank you for the last day of the AMAGO season this year.

And let’s think of the beginning of the Rainbow trout season, Lance!

3 days before fishing season's end

From 6:30-8:30.

Must be last AMAGO fishing before closing.

Tried dry fly for a while and changed it to the nymph system.

7:54 Got lucky strike on my black marabou.

My last AMAGO of this season was 26cm length good one.

Before and After medical check up

Before the medical check, visited the river C first time this season(7:30-9:30).

Got several strikes though, could catch this one only.

Missed only one big chance... Don't forget that hole. 

After medical check, fished at river D from 15:00-17:00.

Mantis was controlled by HARIGANEMUSHI likely.

15:59 Could catch only this one rising for something.

Couldn't forget the good one's take earlier than it...

Nymphing

From 6:15 to 8:45. Water level got increased because of last night's heavy rain. Sometimes it was so windy though, #3 carbon rod worked well today. Tied the dry fly first, but changed to the nymph system soon. I couldn't remember when I used nymph last time. 

After missing big strike once,

joyful moment has come(8:30).

Would like to check and improve all fly fishing skill until next hot summer.

Not bad fish as early morning in fall

From 6:15-8:10 AM. Had a very little rain sometimes, basically cloudy but so windy. Sometime I couldn't cast without waiting. #2 glass rod was difficult to cast against the strong wind. Saw the small moss on the surface. Hooked up so-so one at the pool near the fall though, he escaped from me soon... Next I got a kind of golden opportunity this morning though, why I couldn't set a hook on him well...
And got above fish at almost last hole by small ant parachute(7:59). Not bad fish, thanks god!

Checked the stream still opened

From 6 to 7 AM, checked the river would be opened till the end of Oct.

6:17 around the inlet.

Water level showed too high this morning. Would like to come again if it gets lower level.

Low water

From 6 to 7:30 at the river D.

Water level was quite low.

Should come here again after rainy days.

Could confirm two attacks to my fly.

Final early morning fishing this season

10/29 Saturday 6:15 to 7:45 at the river D. Got super baby's strike once, which I didn't notice it. This season, I got only one good tug which I couldn't catch it at this river. Something got wrong this year?

10/30 at the river C from 6:05-8:25. It rained a little intermittently and a little colder morning than usual.

6:10 the early first luck.

7:29 the second and the last one this season.

Totally it has been not good fishing result this season. Hoping the things'll be better next season.

6-8AM at the river C which is opened to fish by the end of Oct.

It has been a while.

Couldn't set a hook well for two good strikes,

and got the smallest record(maybe...).

I like this stream itself though...

Got no reaction there.

Moved down the the lower section.

Looking for the opened river still in October

Since I missed the time to fish on the KANOGAWA water system in the end of September, visited the river in the early morning today, which was still opened for fishing until the end of October.

6:25 Met 1st baby.

First impression of the first #2 line wasn't bad.

The leader's length 9 feet was also not bad.

You might add 6x tippet next time.

7:17 Got the 3rd one, a little bigger than previous two. But no more luck to the end (8AM) today. Keep trying, Lance.

Recent three records of getting skunked

1st, 7/23 around 15:00 at the river A. Had many trouble with spider's net, and couldn't get any good reaction from the fish. Decided not to come to this river until the end of this season.

KIMAWARI on the rock.

Unknown flowers.

2nd, 8/10 after 14:00 at the river B. It should be the best time flame in a day to fish this upper section though, got only a few reactions from the babies. Water level was definitely low, but...

A kind of HIRATA? Unknown mayfly.

3rd, 8/27 from 6:00 to 7:30 at the river D. Water flow got recovered to normal of a little increased level, and its color showed nice clear. Looked like to be very nice condition after long interval. But hooked only two babies, they were released by themselves...

It was first time to see you at that river.

Hopefully let me have better tomorrow morning...

Upper, Middle and Lower

From 4:45-7:15 checked the Upper section first.

Got one very small reaction,

and saw one good fish's escaping...

Moved to the middle section next.

6:22 late first one.

Not expected size though, better than nothing...

Checked the lower section in the end.

Added super baby one( no pic).
